Equally light as it is stiff, the Challenger Carbon handlebar is constructed by hand from unidirectional carbon fiber and baked/pressurized in a propriety mold to exacting standards. Weighing in at 185 grams for a size 42cm, it easily rivals any of the other high-end race bars on the marketplace as one of the world’s lightest road handlebars. The shallow 125mm drop matches to a 70mm compact reach that curves for an exquisite hand position in the drops, and a seamless transition to Sram, Shimano, and Campagnolo hoods. Sand blasting on the hood clamp and stem clamp areas decreases the bolt clamping force necessary during mounting. Clever indicator markings on the side profile of the handlebars facilitate equal spacing on both hoods as well as center alignment at the stem faceplate. Unique shaping where the shifter-levers mount directs cables for modern routing below the handlebar tape without bunching.
